Weekend part 1: Bible Quizzing

Part 1 of the big AWANA weekend - quizzing. It took place last night (Fri.) at Grace Baptist, and 36 teams quizzed from the LA area 24/7 clubs. Kendra and Cami were on the same team from Crown Valley Com. Church (Acton, CA), where they do AWANA 24/7 (high school level). This is Kendra's 5th year at CVCC, and Cami's 3rd. The quiz was over this years main study: Romans.


The girls both studied diligently, and it paid off - their team took 3rd place overall! Kendra was happy because she actually stood up to answer 2 different speed quiz questions - something she has never had the nerve to do before. I keep telling my girls that it doesn't matter how well you can recite those verses, or whip out the answers: what matters is whether it makes a difference in how you live every day.

CVCC had 2 bible quiz teams. Kendra and Cami were on team #1. Here's the whole group with their leaders/coaches, the Mawhorters. I'm so thankful to the Lord that my girls have the privilege to learn from this wonderful couple. They love & shepherd my girls every week and are such a blessing to our family.
