not a bad Saturday altogether. I read Daily Bread online this morning for devotions, and it was a good time of just pondering my priorities. The theme was on valuing Christ more than possessions/anything else, and the passage was on the rich fool who put all his confidence in his riches, but was spiritually poor. Sometimes I like to read those passages and then self-righteously put myself in a *different* category. Well, lets just say I was properly convicted about ways in which I, too, am guilty of wrongly valuing things that will , frankly, burn someday. I need to be consistently in the Word to keep my eyes focused on Christ.
Speaking of priorities, After first spending time with the Lord, I was extra nice to Mark and made him eggs and pancakes for breakfast. He was duly appreciative (smile), and even fixed the tail light of my van and took the kids to the park later this afternoon. I was out doing some shopping while they were at the park, and came home to find that the poor guy pulled his calf muscle pretty badly playing with Ben. So he's limping around with his walking stick.
I picked up some much needed undies and new pjs for Ben, who has spent the last 4 days wearing the same clothes day and night (no, he actually HAS other clothes....he just doesn't care, and , yes, you'd think that I, his mother would actually *notice* !). Anyway, he's grown out of most of his pjs. He immediately put on his camouflage jammies and ran up to get his "m16" (see above). Dad and I assured him that he was comPLETEly invisible (wink wink). He gave us the sideways smile that means "I think you're joking......aren't you??"
My mom and dad (retired missionaries...another story) live only a couple miles away, so they came for dinner and to watch Ratatouille tonight. Took first pictures of the piggies tonight...they're so cuuuuute.
