Final Score: Leaky Pipes 2, Plumber 0

Yet another blip in the intermittently continuing saga of "Plumbing Annoyances in the Hooligan Household". This particular happy ceiling hole was one that was created a few months ago in order to fix a small slowly dripping leak. While waiting for the apt. company to send the plumbers back to actually fix the leak, the leak sealed itself with rust........which was a good thing, because the plumbers failed to return at all, at which point we temporarily forgot about it-- hooligans by nature being a bit ADD in the home-repair department and all. Well, when it began dripping again, we stuck a bucket underneath it and continued to ignore it.......

Enter pipe #2.......

Notice both places where there are clamps, not to mention the not-less-than 4 rust craters in a 2ft stretch of pipe, where there are tiny leaks that rust over before they can drip! This one began leaking a few days ago in the kitchen, but because there wasn't already a convenient hole in the ceiling, the water pooled above the front of the cabinets, and began to drip down the front of the cupboard. BTW, this exact scenario had already presented itself at another time in the past, at which time I recommended that they install hinged doors in our ceiling.....they didn't listen. Well, the nice PAC apt. plumber came out yesterday morning, visibly relieved that I was so calm about my holes and drips, having had such a long intimate relationship with them. He evidently has had to deal with outraged tenants who have major psychological issues about leaks. I told him that perspective is a wonderful thing.....when you've had your entire dining room flooded overnight by a burst pipe, and dealt with waterfalls raining from your 2yo's ceiling, a couple slow drips are, by comparison, not worthy of too much emotional stress. God, after all, uses such minor annoyances to teach us patience. But I digress. Mr. nice plumber was here a good 2 or more hours, cutting holes, clamping leaks etc.. Well, by bedtime last night, BOTH (yes both!) pipes were dripping yet again. ???? leaving me scratching my head as to what he actually *did* while he was here? So I guess Monday I'll start this whole sad process over again, and see if the score improves. Mr. Nice Plumber assured me he would recommend to the apt. company that they have him totally replace this whole (rust infected) stretch of pipe. to be cont.....
