happy hooligan thankgiving!!

Well, thanksgiving day was lovely. Mom and Dad were with us (my sister & husband, myself & Mark), which is a big reason for thanks this year, as last year they were in Africa and we had to do without them :o(. As usual we convened at my sister's house, where, unlike our apartment, there is more room, a yard, 2 computers, and satellite tv. Not to mention a double recliner sofa in front of said tv. Oh yes.....and there is wiiiiiiiiiiiii! Bro. in law and nephew (Alex, 15) are gaming nuts, so Ben was in wi-heaven all day. And yes, we did enjoy sharing what we were thankful for around the table. God is so good to provide all that we need. The hooligan children and cousins were a tad silly around the table (note Cami avoiding the camera, Ben eating everyone with "Mr. Shark", and Kendra ready for mayhem with knife in hand, while dad ignores it all in the background). I forget what all the teenage hooligans were thankful for, but lets just say that goofiness was in full swing, and its a good thing I can't remember. It could have had something to do with Grandma *not* making her orange-carrot-raisin jello...hmmm. Ben redeemed his siblings and cousins by his momentary burst of angelic sincerity, stating that he was thankful that Jesus died on the cross for us. I'm afraid that my sister took all the "nice" photos with her good camera, so unless she e-mails me some, its goofy pics all the way, I'm afraid. Here is my nephew Alex's meal of maraschinos....actually he had some other stuff too, but it looked like that was all he would be eating!and here is Cami and Tabitha (age 12), avoiding the evil mom-lady with the camera. And so a good time was had by all. football was watched, games were played, food was eaten, naps were taken, family was enjoyed, God was praised. All in all, a little slice of heaven (well, not sure if there will be wi in heaven, but there are surely some who would insist that it should be!).

Being that I am tending to miss some blogging days, I'll just fill in that lest we all get the impression that Ben is just a gun-slinging, shark-eating madman, he does have his moments of decorum.
